  1. Choose any archaeological site in the territoty now belonging to Israel or Palestine, and describe the findings at the site and how they relate to archaeologuical periods and to the Biblical record
  2. Choose any archaeological site outside Israel and Palestine, and describe the findings at the site and how they relate to archaeologuical periods and to the Biblical record
  3. Discuss the information given by archaeology as to the life-style of a typical Israelite in a small town during the Iron Age
  4. Describe and discuss the various religious and cultic buildings and practices in Israel and Judah during the Iron Age - this includes Jerusalem and Dan.
  5. Discuss the influence of the Canaanites and Phoenicians on the Israelites in matters of religion and architecture
  6. Describe and discuss the factors which led to the presence of Romans in Palestine at the time of Jesus
  7. Discuss the information given by archaeology as to the setting and events of the Book of Esther
  8. Discuss the information given by archaeology as to the setting and events of the First Book of Samuel
